2009 Turkey Trot

I invite you to join me at this year's Turkey Trot. I am registered for the 5K walk.

The 2009 Turkey Trot happens in less than 3 weeks and we want to make sure you know about it. What better way to start Thanksgiving morning than a brisk 5K walk or run (or, a 10K run for the really ambitious)? Better still is that 100% of all the proceeds go straight to the Principal’s Checkbook program which helps kids in our local schools.
Are you ready? Have you registered yet? This year we have a new website with all the information. The race details are pretty much the same and you can still count on the kids’ pinata, polar bear swim in Klineline Pond (brrr!) and free donuts, bagels, and bananas!

Get all the race details here: www.turkey-trot.org

Do you have to pre-register? No. Just like last year, you can show up on the morning of the event and just walk or run. However, if you want to stand a better chance of getting a 2009 Turkey Trot T-shirt, you likely have to register in advance and donate at least $10. The website has all the info, so go there!

· Thursday, November 26th (Thanksgiving)

· 8:00am Walk-up registration begins, packet pick-up, T-shirt pick-up

· 9:00am 5K Run/Walk and 10K Run begin

· 10:00am PiƱata and (very optional) Polar Bear Swim

· Location: Salmon Creek Trail

· Starts and Ends at Klineline Pond

Race Cost

You decide. Actually it is free. But you can donate and we hope you will. If you donate at least $10/race entry, you’ll receive a custom-designed 2009 Turkey Trot T-shirt. Wear it with pride. YOU raced on Thanksgiving morning. And you gave to help some kids in our area who really do need help. (Note: We have a limited number of shirts. Register fast. Register in advance. When we run out, we run out.)
