How Shopping Can Support Your Child's School

Attached to last week's bulletin was the latest scrip order form. Proceeds from this month's orders will support the 4th grade classrooms.

Here is an example of how you can maximize the proceeds. Let's say there is a book you'd like to buy at Barnes and Noble. So you order $50.00 in Barnes & Noble gift cards on the scrip order form, Fisher's Landing gets 9%. After you get your giftcards, you go to GoodSearch and type in Fisher's Landing as your charity. GoodSearch also offers GoodShop. So you place your order through GoodShop to Barnes & Noble and Fisher's Landing gets another 3% of that order. If your order is over $25.00 you get free shipping. GoodShop also has coupons so you might save some money on your purchase.

Now 9% and 3% are not much but they do add up to much more when you consider that we have about 700 children attending our school. If every family ordered a minimal order every month for places they shop at anyway like Fred Meyer, Safeway, Gap, Old Navy, Penny's, Home Depot, etc. it would greatly benefit our students. Let your aunts, uncles and grandparents know about it. Order a few every month and save them for times when you need gifts like birthdays, weddings, and holidays.
