Happy New Year!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! What a great start to a new year. The learners in my classroom are getting very accustomed to the new routines, expectations and procedures. I have been very impressed by their overall evidence of responsibility, preparedness and respect. We have close to 100% remembering their STAR folders, planners and ELF folders. In the classroom I am seeing diligent work habits , intentional listening, focus and engagement.

Our first book order was the largest I have ever had in all my years of teaching, we earned almost 2000 bonus points that were redeemed for books for our class library. Thank you again! The two cartons arrived after school on Friday, so the books are waiting on their desks. I will send out the new book order for October this Friday, it will be due October 9th since students do not attend school on the 10th.

Since I have a limited budget for printing costs I will be publishing my newsletter on-line. I wish to reserve my printing budget for the learners in my classrooms as much as possible. I will be updating the "blog"/newsletter from time to time, so please check back. I will send out an email to you when I have made a an update.
