Multiplication Practice

There are two new additions to the content of our Edline class page. If you look at the right hand side of the page under "Contents" you'll see Multiplication Facts Practice and Timed Multiplication Practice. These are two tools that can be used to increase multiplication fact fluency. They were created with PowerPoint.

The Multiplication Facts Practice allows you to click and review facts at your own pace. The Timed Multiplication Practice is set to show you a fact at a certain rate. This rate is set to match the rate needed to complete all of the basic multiplication facts during the allotted 8 minutes.

There are also other on-line math tools listed in the Links section of our Edline class page under Math Links.

Also as a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics I received notice of a new video game that helps students practice their multiplication facts. Now I know I am not very good at video games, but many kids are, and for some this might be just the avenue to get them to practice. They even have a free version.
